Clapr is a release calendar for movies and TV shows. This page explains what information we collect when you create an account and use the app, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

When you use the app, we store:
When you ask Clapr to find nearby cinemas, your location is used only to complete that search. Clapr does not save it to your account or database.
Cinema favourites and small interface preferences—such as dismissed install prompts— stay in your browser's local storage. They are not attached to your Clapr account and can be removed by clearing this site's stored data.
Movie and show listings themselves come from third-party data sources and don't involve your personal data.
Resend delivers account emails and contact-form notifications.
No selling, no ads
You can optionally turn on sharing for any custom list you create. Doing so generates a private link that lets anyone signed into Clapr who has that link view the list. They can never edit, add to, or delete it. Only you, as the owner, can. You can turn sharing off at any time, which immediately invalidates the link. We don't publish shared lists anywhere or make them discoverable. Only someone with the exact link can view one.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you want your account and associated data deleted, contact us and we'll remove it.
Contact-form messages are retained for up to 180 days so we can respond and investigate reports. Expired signup, email-login, password-reset, and abuse-prevention records are removed by automated maintenance. Abuse-prevention records contain a keyed identifier, not your raw IP address or email address.
